How to Log into Router: Easy Guide
WiFi routers from various brands are available in the market. Some people prefer setting up a Netgear router, while others go for Linksys routers. A large proportion of the globe is happy with the TP-Link router performance whereas the rest others have invested in an Orbi router which is just another product line from Netgear.

How to Log into Netgear Router?
You can log in to a Netgear WiFi router using my router login addresses – routerlogin.net or routerlogin.com. The default IP address – 192.168.1.1 can also be used in place of the web address. Here are the Netgear router login steps:
- Connect your PC or mobile phone to the Netgear router WiFi.
- Now, open an internet browser and input routerlogin.net into the search box.
- Press Enter and you’ll find yourself on the admin page of the Netgear router.
- Here, type the username and password you gave to your router during the setup process.
- Click Log In.
- The dashboard or the Status page of the router will appear as the login process completes.
Note: If your Netgear router is operating on the default settings, use “admin” as username and “password” as its password. Both details are case-sensitive.
How to Log in to Linksys Router?
The process of accessing a Linksys router is quite similar to the Netgear router. The basic difference is that the default web address changes to linksyssmartwifi.com (smart routers) or myrouter.local (general routers).
You can also log in using the Linksys Cloud Account for smart WiFi routers. The default IP to access Linksys routers is 192.168.1.1. Here’s how to complete router login for Linksys routers:
- Connect your PC to your Linksys router through an Ethernet cable.
- Go to linksyssmartwifi.com or myrouter.local.
- A login page appears if you are using a general router by Linksys. Here, enter the password and select Sign In.
- In case, you are logging in to a Linksys smart WiFi router, you will be presented with two fields named Email ID and Password where you have to enter the Linksys Cloud Account details.
- To log in using the router details, select the Local Access link on the same screen.
- On the next page, type the Username and Password and select Sign In.
How to Log in to TP-Link Router?
If you want to log in to a TP-Link router, you can take the help of the steps highlighted below. However, before that, we recommend you connecting your PC to the TP-Link router either using a LAN cable or through WiFi.
- Open a web browser and type tplinkwifi.net.
- You can also use the IP – 192.168.0.1.
- A login window will pop up on the screen.
- Here, type Username as admin.
- The password will be the one you specified during the first time login.
- Click Login.
Note: Some TP Link routers support the use of the 192.168.1.1 IP. So, try using the same IP if you fail to log in to router using the above given addresses. In case, you are logging in to a Deco mesh system by TP-Link, you are suggested to use the login URL – tplinkdeco.net.
Orbi Router Login
The process of logging in to the Orbi router is as same as an ordinary Netgear router. You just need to use the orbilogin.net or orbilogin.com URL instead of routerlogin.net. The Username and Password will be “admin” and “password” respectively.

The process of router login is not complex. To log into router, you just need to connect your computer/laptop/mobile to the router’s network, and go to the router’s web URL on a web browser. After that, input the required details and select Login/OK/Sign In depending upon the router model you own. The default login details of the routers may vary.
